2nd Annual Bite of Park Rapids
The 2nd Annual Bite of Park Rapids promises food, music and fun from 11
a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 27 on 2nd Street in Downtown Park Rapids.
Twelve Park Rapids area vendors will offer a variety of fun food from
barbecued pork and treats on a stick to healthy smoothies. Food races
will be held from 12:45 to 1:25 p.m. Kids ages 6-12 are invited to
participate in watermelon slice eating and watermelon seed spitting
contests and adults will compete in watermelon seed spitting and mini
hotdog/corn dog eating races. Prizes will be awarded to winners. All
participants must sign up at the side stage before the events begin. An
inflatables park and face painting also will entertain young children
from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. After the food races, musicians who will
entertain on the side stage are Chasing Clarence from 1:25-2:15 p.m. and
Paul Reese from 3:45 to 4:15 p.m. Homegrown Tomatoes will open live
music on the main stage at 11 a.m. Performing from 2:15 to 3:45 will be
dancing Light. Thea Ennen will be on stage from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. From 6
to 8 p.m., the band, i like you, will deliver an energetic sound from
the main stage. The Park Rapids Downtown Business Association is
sponsoring the Bite of Park Rapids and will host the beer garden from 11
a.m. to 8 p.m.
