Open House at Terrapin Station

Don't miss the Open House at Terrapin Station!
115 Church Street, Nevis

Thursday, May 26, 2011
5:00 – 7:00 pm

When folks come to Terrapin Station for the first time, they often say "I can't believe this is in Nevis!" It's like a geode that you crack open and discover it's filled with gems. We're in the old county garage that has been a Gambles Store, Antique Store, Ice Cream Shop, Arcade, Cabinet Shop and maybe more over the years, but now houses Terrapin Station, a music, art and wellness centre!

This is our 4th year with music and unlike other theatres who feature a similar show throughout the year, every show at Terrapin is with different local, regional and national touring musicians and groups. We've had a wide range of musical styles from country to rock, celtic to bluegrass and many of the shows have been recorded with videos uploaded to YouTube.

On May 26th, during the OPEN HOUSE, between 5-7pm, you'll have the opportunity to browse everything in Terrapin Station from the front retail store to the soundstage area and massage therapy room. You'll also get a behind the scenes look at how we set-up and sound check the bands. If you'd like, you are also welcome to enjoy the evening entertainment! Two bands will be performing, The first is a national solo artists who calls himself "Smokestack and the Foothill Fury". He's a one man band with a drivin' blues style. Followed by Jake Dilley and the Color Pharmacy, who hail from Minneapolis, but have been touring extensively this spring.

We'll figure out some nice snacks and beverages to offer during the After Hours and hope you'll mark your calendars and plan to visit!

They should do more open houses for potential new home owners in the community. It is a good showcase for the community.
